How To Create A Quick Updo With A Beak Clip
First make a pony tail at the back of your hair, if the hair is quite long you may find putting an elastic in to hold the pony tail in place will help to style it.
Next twist the hair all the way down the pony tail and lay it against the scalp, here you can be as creative as you like, either leave it as a twist, curl it into a bun or scrunch it round into a french twist.
Once you have the hair how you want it, take the beak clip and open it a little, about half an inch is ideal, and slide it into the bun keeping the bottom jaw of the clip as close to your scalp as possible as this is what anchors the bun in place. The Beak clip is slightly curve to fit the shape of your head which makes things a lot easier.
The top of the clip can either lie on top of the bun or through it, as long as you have scooped up enough hair to stop bits falling out.
This style does take a little practice, but in time you can do it in seconds without even thinking about it.
Tip
If there are stubborn strands that keep trying to escape you can use a mini beak clip to pin them in place.
How To Use A Banana Clip For A Stunning Pony Tail
Much loved in the 80's the banana clip is still going strong for a great way to style a pony tail.
Brush your hair thoroughly to make sure there are no knots or tangles, open the banana clip and slide it under all you hair so it is resting, centered, on your neck. You might find it easier to flip your hair forward, lie the open comb across your neck, then flip the hair back again.
Next take hold ot the two ends of the comb and pull them upright keeping all the hair inside the comb, untill the two top ends meet and you can click them together.
And that's all there is to it!.
Tip
Banana clips come in all sizes, for long hair make sure you get the largest size you can for easier styling.
